I  came across this really great site that I think is a great classroom tool and thought I would share it with you.   www.secretbuilders.com
SecretBuilders is a virtual world for children 6 – 14 years old with an emphasis on learning and creativity. Children live and play amongst their friends, characters and concepts from the arts, humanities and history;   they  go on quests;  play games and explore themed lands.     They are encouraged to be creative – to write, paint and to build this virtual world with their ideas and suggestions.   Charity activities and contests also allow children to raise real money for our school or charity of choice.   This site is designed to educate while entertaining.
